World Refrigeration Day, the coolest day of the year

Imagine what the world would be like without refrigeration… disease, no ice-cream, and what would we do down-under without air-conditioning? The HVAC-R industry like many others, is changing at a faster rate than ever before and this year the industry is coming together to recognise amazing men and women who are keeping it cool.

On 26 June 2019 our Reece HVAC, Metalflex and Actrol stores across Australia and New Zealand will celebrate the first annual World Refrigeration Day.

Each store will be warming up the customer relationship differently, some will host sausage sizzles while others will offer tool cleaning. There will also be limited edition World Refrigeration Day merchandise including a lunchbox cooler, reusable coffee cups and well-ventilated t-shirts.

Brad Fuller, HVAC-R Marketing Leader said he’s a huge fan of the industry and the day is significant because of its importance to human comfort, food storage and much more.

“We’re extremely proud of the work our customers and branches do every day, so to have a day to shine a light on them is not only deserved, it’s also gratifying and long overdue.”

Industry and trade groups from around the world have thrown their support behind 26 June as the official date for the first World Refrigeration Day, the coolest day of the year.
